Hold On For One More Day

Thank you Wilson Philips! (We actually performed that song in show choir in high school, ha ha!) Another side note, it is a good thing that I know my way around my blog because every tab is in a different language.

Well today is Tuesday, the day we picked up our referral. Besides not knowing what we were doing, we managed just fine. We got picked up by a taxi, drove to the same place we had just been yesterday, walked into a building, sat at a desk, signed a log and were handed a pile of papers. We thought that we would meet up with our RR friends or that somebody that we knew but no such luck. We just stood outside the building and looked at each other and said, "That's it? Now what?" There was the most beautiful church right next to where we were so we decided to walk around. We walked around a street market too then made a call to see how we were getting back to our apartment. A taxi was called for us and we got dropped off at our apartment. This truly has been an adventure! Not knowing 99% of the time what we are doing, how we are going to get from point A to point B is great fun. We went to the supermarket again and grabbed some nice cheese, ham, and bread for dinner. I could live off of cheese and bread. I am reminded of the time when I was in France with my family and how we bought a chicken, baguette, and cheese off the street and just devoured it with our hands on the bed in our hotel room. Good times! Good times! I am really enjoying my time here and creating new memories with my hubs! It's a very busy city with really crazy driving but I like busy and crazy! It already feels like another home away from home.

Tomorrow is a very big day! We are still waiting to get more details about the time we will be going, who's picking us up, etc. but we are very excited and anxious! I know that it has only been 4 months since we started this process but it seems like an eternity. Knowing that she is just waiting to be loved and that we are HERE to love her is an incredible feeling. I have waited for this moment forever it seems and tomorrow I will finally be able to hold  her and whisper, "I am your mommy!"  Could someone pinch me please? Please send prayers and good vibes our way! We'll post pictures as soon as we can! One more sleep baby and then you'll never have to sleep alone! Isn't it funny that I am singing "Annie" songs right now? Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya tomorrow, you're only a day away!

Our admission ticket! (St. Andrews Church in the background.)

Look at that face! Proud, soon to be a papa to another baby girl face.

View from the church grounds.

Another cool building on our way home.

  1. Hello -

Sounds as if you're enjoying being in the Capital City! I believe that second "cool building" is the opera house - my cousins thoroughly enjoyed attending an opera (in Italian!) when they were in-country adopting their two children. Lots to see and do, but of course, the happiest sight will be your darling little daughter.
Sending good wishes for traveling mercies and blessings.

  2. If we can hardly stand the wait, I don't know how you are doing it. Looking forward to tomorrow's update.
